Now this is just a bit silly I know but we ordered our nursery furniture from a well known company last Saturday and on the website it said 21 working days until delivery. We went ahead as I will be on maternity leave by then. We got an email confirming all this and saying would phone us two to three days before was due to arrange a time. My husband then got a text yesterday saying it has now been dispatched and will be delivered in 3 working days....so Friday and they will call to arrange a time. Neither of us was going to be in so I asked my boss for some leave which she kindly agreed to. Husband has just text me to say that the courier has just called and is outside our house (we are both at work and can't go back just now) will need to be redelivered and this could take up to a week?!?
Why have they just made up days?!? Sorry this is more of a rant but is it unreasonable to expect better communication? As an aside the room is not yet painted(doing this weekend) and we are getting new carpet next week so we actually would have preferred the later date (I know is usually preferable to get things early)...and breathe
