To have not realised building work would be so noisy

Ndn doing building work. I've no problem with the work etc. I just didn't realise it would be quite this noisy. And I can't go out as have people coming over.

Sympathies. I've always found that when my builders are here the noise never seems so bad, but neighbours' builders always seem to make a constant intrusive racket, even when doing the same sort of tasks. I must be wired to be more tolerant if the noise is going to facilitate something beneficial for me
