AIBU to think if you need instructions on how to get a duvet out of a bag, you really shouldn't be left in charge of such a difficult and hazardous item?

Duvet unwrapping instructions? Really?

It's because there are that many people who lack common sense. There's a reason that you see all these warnings.

yes, and some twat is bound to go for it with a knife and then moan because they've slice the duvet :)

I'm going to let one of my teenagers unwrap this - I am not sure I am up to the challenge!

If it's one of the IKEA mattresses, they do kind of spring open a bit.

It's a single duvet. Perhaps I should have said that - sorry. Blush

I've seen instructions for a drink that says....Open carton, drink contents....

My kids used to have a pop up play tunnel.
There were two little velcro straps so when you squashed the tunnel from a tube shape to a hoop shape, you could secure it and put it away.
It came with an A4 sheet complete with written instructions and pictures, so show you how to unpack it and put it away. I never did understand how anyone could ever find that difficult. My kids managed to cope with it long before they could read!

what cate16 said, its to cover their arses if someone manages to damage it whilst removing it from the bag.

Agree its utterly idiotic though!

You will all be glad to hear that ds3 has unwrapped the duvet (rest assured, I pointed the instructions out to him), without any major injuries or incidents.
