Hello, i am currently on jobseekers allowance after having to leave my job due to illness.
i am 15 weeks pregnant and i have not had a good days since i conceived my baby. im epileptic but this has been okay, its just mainly a worry factor. i have headaches everyday, migraines most days and go dizzy everyday ( even after ive eaten) i suffer with terrible sciatica and hip pain and i still suffer with sickness. due to this i have missed 2 meetings with the jobcenter. the jobcentre have said i am not able to work a minimum of 40 hours due to these reason and will not be classed as eligible for jobseekers, they have told me to speak to my consultant about being signed off work. i wondered what they would put this under and could i even do this or will they tell me to suck it up as its pregnancy and i should deal with it. i feel like a lazy failure as i have always been a worker and worked 70+ hour weeks at my best. any advice?

I think you may struggle to find a job being pregnant - I showed early and employers just weren't interested (you can understand that, the expense and training of hiring for only a few months before needing to do it all again) and the possibility that you will be off work multiple times due to health reasons during pregnancy. I personally would explain all this and hope to be signed off. Maybe you could earn a little doing odd self employed things to keep busy (cleaning/typing/proof reading etc) (it's a pain but you can declare as earnings change and have the safety net of using the benefit if you don't earn enough not to need it that week)
You may get some luck with temping also actually.
