Noisy ice cream eating

Ok, so I know this isn't the worst problem ever, but I'm sitting in the gardens of a local visitor attraction. I'm surrounded by all the baggage of a family outing, but everyone else in our group has gone for a walk. A couple have come and sat really really close by, and he has been eating a tub of ice cream, for at least the last fifteen minutes, in the most noisy and irritating way possible.

I can't move away, there is too much stuff to shift on my own. The gardens are pretty empty, there was no need to sit so close.
The ice cream must have melted ages ago. He takes a scoop, slaps his chops together repeatedly, slurps a bit, then swallows loudly enough for me to hear. I have had my finger in my left ear while I've been typing with my right hand, but it's still too loud to ignore. It makes me want to vomit, or shout at him, or stuff cotton wool in my ears.

By the way, I know I'm overreacting. But it's gone on so long.

So, AIBU to find the noise disgusting, to wonder why he's sitting so close, and also perhaps, how the woman with him hasn't killed him or divorced him so far?

Maybe she is just as noisy when she eats ice-cream!

Gross. Can't bear noisy eaters. If he's going to town that much over an ice cream,can you imagine his enjoyment of anything else?

DH is a noisy eater, I hate it. YANBU. Maybe his wife is deaf so doesn't her it?

There is a worse thing though than a noisy eater, and that's someone who opens their mouth as they chew.

Ooh no, I am phobic about noisy eaters.

Also when people eat cue cream with a spoon and take the spoon from their mouths and it still has a mound of ice cream on it. Thus really makes me heave.

Go over and dip your finger in the tub. They'll think you're a freak and move.

I feel your pain, my mum slurps ice cream terrible. And my youngest dc chews his and his teeth clunk together
