male peeing etiquette

Aibu to tape 50p coins to the underside of the loo seat to encourage male residents of the house to lift the bloody seat when they pee? Is there an effective solution to the problem of lazy boys not bothering to lift the seat. I have reached intolerance point and am quite happy to consider all humane solutions.

Get them to clean the bathroom and clean the pissy floors?

I'd feel sorry for whoever they'd give the 50p to after.

The charge is £1.00 these days - have you not heard about inflation? Grin

Aeroflotgirl · 26/07/2014 10:53

Get them their own cleaning things, get the lazy gits to clean up!

Unfortunately we have a cat that likes to drink from the loo so we tend to leave the lid down.

That's why I always have a lazy mans pee. Saves these kind of problems.

In our house the rule for resident males, big and small, is sit down wees only.

Domestic toilets just are not suitable for standing and pissing at, imo and we don't have urinals.

When visiting men & boys have been I find spots of urine, not just on the floor & around the loo & seat, but on the radiator next to it. Revolting.

umiaisha · 26/07/2014 14:23

Same here Capitola, it is revolting and disrespectful.

OH sits down to use the loo as does DS (3). OH stands up anyhere he considers dirty though, public toilets etc..

MorphineDreams · 26/07/2014 14:34

If they can't be trusted to do one simple task like getting the pee in the actual toilet, they should sit down and pee instead.

Plenty of other men manage

WitchWay · 26/07/2014 14:37

urgh my FIL sprays pee everywhere Angry

DH & DS sit down unless they're somewhere dirty

DiaDuit · 26/07/2014 14:42

My 5 and 9 YOs manage to lift the seat, aim correctly and wipe any spills before shutting the seat and lid again.

I'd be fucking livid if they didnt! I dont go and piss on their desk chairs or the floor in their rooms for them to sit on or walk through so why would i accept them doing it where i have to sit and walk? Totally disrespectful. I'd be doing some bollocking tbh.

Ditto this. I LOVE my MiL for setting the wheels in motion for this when DH was toilet trained.

Three males in my household. All pee standing up and all keep it in the loo - even the three year old.
