Is it me or my Dm ?

I am currently in quite a bit of pain waiting for surgery driving is difficult and I avoid it unless really have to. My Dm lives 6 miles away she asked if I would like to go with her to visit my Dgm
I said yes and asked her would she be able to pick me up as driving difficult( she knows this already) she can get to Dgm from mine although it's a slight detour for her. She has now told me she won't be able to pick me up as it's too far out of her way and adds an extra hour onto the already 1 hour and 20 min journey ?
I think she's being very UR what do you think ?

Sounds a bit mean of her. How does it take 30 mins to drive 6 miles, unless they're extraordinarily bad roads?

I think your DM is being unreasonable, you shouldn't be driving if you are in pain I would have thought as she knows this she would have offered to pick you up.

How does a six mile detour to pick you up add an hour onto the journey though?

My mother would collect me - no question. As a compromise can you get a taxi to her house and go together from there?

How does 6 miles equate to an extra hour on to the journey? Does she drive really slowly or something?

Something I said to her must have touched a nerve.. She telephoned me to say she was being silly and would be happy to pick me up !!
