Leaving present for teacher

I volunteer in a school, only listening to readers in a particular class once per week. The teacher of this class is leaving at the end of term. WIBU or thought strange to give her a small bunch of flowers from me to say goodbye/good luck? I'm just unsure as she isn't my own children's teacher and I don't know the etiquette! I'd like to do it though, but not if it makes me look silly.

I can't see why you would want to bother, tbh.

If you've had a good relationship with her, I'd just get her a Good Luck card.

She should be giving you a present for the free help!

Why not? I think it's a nice thought.

It's a nice thought. I think she might get a lot of flowers though, and they can be a pain to transport. A nice, heartfelt card would be sufficient, I think

I'm a teacher and I think that's a really lovely idea - you'll be spoken of fondly for years to come.
