Bugger all when dp was at the park with ds??

We both work full time and have a toddler ds. Yesterday dp went on a boys day / night out. I took ds to the park, a local event etc. Dp rolled in at midnight merrily drunk and ate the pile of butties I'd made him.

This morning he got up with ds (his turn, we so alternate weekend days) but did nothing but stick cartoons on. When I got up I made breakfast for everyone and painted with ds whilst dp recovered.

I asked him to take ds to the park for an hour which he did after a quick whinge.

But - when they came back dp moaned that I'd done nothing. Apparently he'd taken ds so I could hoover, tidy paints, prep lunch and put the ironing (that I did once ds was in bed last night) away!

I thought it was so I could have a rest so I sat on my arse and erm, did nothing!

He thinks I was totally unreasonable - I think it was fine but am starting to doubt myself a tiny bit! ?

I've done FA all week. DH has decorated, run most of the errands and childcare and has now just bathed the dog.
I'm a lazy bitch but YANBU. I don't understand why we have to be so busy during the weekends?

nachohousekeeper · 20/07/2014 16:10

YANBU. It's not like you've done nothing all weekend.

I think everyone is entitled to abut if doing nothing if they want to.

Ignore him.

Timeforabiscuit · 20/07/2014 16:10

It depends, do you have skivvy tattooed on your forehead?

If you both have full time jobs, and equal responsibility then it stands to reason you have equal leisure time.

Can he do logic or is he having a whinge?

By my reckoning you get the day off today since he had yesterday carefree!

ThePinkOcelot · 20/07/2014 16:10

No, you have not been unreasonable! I have done absolutely nothing today, despite having lots to do.

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 20/07/2014 16:11

YANBU. He sounds like an arse.

"Did you drop off some dry cleaning or do some grocery shopping when you went out yesterday? No? Why should I be vacuuming when I get time off?"

SauvignonBlanche · 20/07/2014 18:04

I haven't moved off the sofa all day.
Have left the DCs with my DSis and made DH organise lunch and pick DCs up. I've done nothing! Grin
