YANBU. DD1(16) and me finished stage 2 of painting her room this morning. It is now too hot and we are on strike.

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 18/07/2014 14:52

YANBU. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and have a toddler and am finding the heat unbearable. I've just had a nap!

TheCountessOlenska · 18/07/2014 14:56

I'm watching Mr Maker with my youngest. Was going to take them both to the park after I pick up oldest from school but I think we would all get too hot and grumpy!

Phoenix2014 · 18/07/2014 14:58

Don't feel so guilty now!!

am sweating from just sitting still.

LotsaTuddles · 18/07/2014 15:05

DS is currently shouting at the washing machine (he loves it bless him) and I'm working up the energy to cook dinner, need to pop to the shop but he's not going to be impressed that he's going to have to put clothes on

Galvanized · 18/07/2014 15:09

Where in the country are you? In London it's over 30c and very sunny so probably not sensible to go to the playground! Wait till later or not at all.

wonderingsoul · 18/07/2014 15:12

Ynbu.. We're going to a friends who has a big paddling pool, pizza and wine.

It shall be lush

Phoenix2014 · 18/07/2014 15:17

Stay indoors. I have to commute soon in London and I'm dreading it!!

londonrach · 18/07/2014 15:19

Wondering soul....sounds bliss...can I come too..is the water cold?

Artandco · 18/07/2014 15:23

I would wait and go much later, it's so hot right now in London. Kids currently in little paddling pool in shade on our roof terrace ( no actual garden), and planning on taking them to Hyde park this eve with friend to play and picnic but not until 7pm as the sun won't be as strong then.

It's so hot in bedroom at home anyway that they will sleep better if out most the eve and home when tired. Hoping to spend at least 7pm-10pm in park, late bedtime, nice lie in tomorrow

SaucyJack · 18/07/2014 15:29

YANBU. Too hot is baaaaad for you.

Galvanized · 18/07/2014 15:30

Sounds great Artandco!

ShatterResistant · 18/07/2014 15:31

God no. Mine wouldn't nap, so we're now sitting in the living room with the curtains drawn watching that farmyard thing. Is way too hot for outside- 3 month old and 17 month old, wild horses couldn't make me.

Pommes · 18/07/2014 15:36

We're going swimming!

Brices · 18/07/2014 15:40

I just considered going to the park, so went indoors and found it much hotter there. Hence a U turn back to shady garden, toddlers back in paddling pool and considering a cold glass of Sauvignon...

WhoDaresWins · 18/07/2014 15:43

I'm in a play barn. It's virtually empty. It's air conditioned. What's not to love?

Artandco · 18/07/2014 15:55

Actually went to supermarket this morning and that was nice and air conditioned!

I don't mind the heat though, just worry about little ones burning or getting heat stroke
