To bugger off to the pub for the afternoon?

I'm home alone, dp at work, DS of camping with cadets. I'm meant to be cleaning and batch cooking. so far I have broken the broom and all my pegs have grown legs and disappeared.
I just don't get on with domestic tasks, I find them pointless as they just need doing again.
Dp has texted me to ask if I can pick up a phone charging cable if I'm going to town. I had no plans to go out, we did the shopping yesterday.
But it is a good excuse to decant to the pub for an hour or 2 is it not?

Depends. You'll just have to do the jobs later.

Or will you expect your dp to do them after work?

Go, read a big Sunday paper with all the supplements, and a ploughman's lunch. Lucky!

I went, I'm here with a cold pint and a trashy book. The housework can wait as it's always there!
