Ok, normally pmt happens a few days before my period and I'm a bit tetchy for a day or two, no big deal.

Today, period & pmt seem to have arrived together. I don't want H to touch me, feel repulsed if he tries. I'm in a foul mood just because he managed to get a stale loaf from the shop and the kids are bickering. I have NO idea why i'm fucked off & a snivvelling mess. The kids have been bickering for months, H is usually inept at shopping, nothing new here at all!

I resorted to sloping off to bed for a couple of hours & he's gone out with the kids now.

No one wants the 8===D on their period. I think it's normal to reject to anything that could lead to sex during that time.

I hate being cuddled or touched on my period too. I just want to be left alone. Unless I do. Then DH get accused of being cold and aloof. There's no winning for a couple days. But I do warn him so he knows to just humor me and let me take the lead if I want to cuddle a bit (or not!) :)

You might be a moody cunt, that's totally your business Grin but YANBU with the rest, it can sometimes make you feel a bit steggy and anyone who comes near will get snarled at.

Is he understanding about it?

gamerchick · 13/07/2014 00:31

Well you did the thing and were able to remove yourself for a bit from all the other humans.

Jobs a good un Grin

AgentZigzag · 13/07/2014 00:32

Aye, agree with gamer, it's the only sensible option.

STOPwiththehahaheheloling · 13/07/2014 00:34

PMT usually means moody cunt in my book- you dont get one without the other Grin

I have to say though i crave cuddles and closeness when on my period, not sex, just comforting hugs and that.

AlpacaPicnic · 13/07/2014 00:35

Nope, that's totally the hormones at work. I hate everybody and everything - sometimes. Other times, I feel all weepy and unloved. Nobody can win.

Periods induce major issues with personal space with me.

Thankfully I have never had any real PMS apart from mild bloating, but my periods are another matter. I think a lot of it is to do with temperature, I always feel really hot and bothered no matter what the ambient temperature is. I dont like the kids touching me and I am normally a really cuddly and tactile mother, I dont like the huggy kissy stuff me and my friends do when we see each other and if you stand too close to me in the queue at Aldi I may just rip your head off!

It worries me actually because I dont want to be like that all the time when I am going through menopause. I am sure I will be in full menopause within the next 5 years as in the last 3 my cycles have gone from 28 to 40 ish and my periods from 5 days full on heavy to 2 days of 1 day heavy and 1 day tailing off. My younger DC are 9,8 and 3, and still like mummy cuddles :(

Bogeyface · 13/07/2014 00:40

I didnt mention H in that post because he learned years ago that if the tampax box comes out of the basket and next to the loo, leave me the fuck alone, and he does! In fact in recent years he makes a point of picking up a bag of ice when he gets the papers if he sees the box of a morning! :)

fourforksache · 13/07/2014 00:46

thank you for the solidarity, attempted hug and chocolate cake. I'm honestly not usually this bad, but today I feel like I put everyone on a downer Sad luckily it sermsvto be passing though that may be the Wine

I was quite surprised to find that DH knew where I was in my cycle of the pill BF, I've never thought of him as being the observant type but he notices how many are left in the packet at the side of the bed Shock

Survival instinct kicking in?

fourforksache · 13/07/2014 00:50

zigzag, yes he's usually understanding but today I was uncharacteristically throat rippy Blush

It's not necessarily a bad thing to keep them on their toes Wink

Bogeyface · 13/07/2014 01:08

Maybe a "look, I know I am being a complete bitch but I dont mean to be, I dont want to be and I cant help it. I am really sorry" would help?

WhatTheFork · 13/07/2014 02:38

I'm admiring squigglysquid's 8===D

Surely it should be 8==D? Or even 8=D, or worse 8--D

Thanks for that, it tickled me.

AgaPanthers · 13/07/2014 02:46

Bit bigger?

8======D

fourforksache · 13/07/2014 07:49
