Ok, so it's my birthday today and my dd and is so lovely. Things have been really hard these last few years, so much so that at times I don't think I can take anymore but she always make me feel so loved and needed (tbh I feel completely useless most of the time).

My dd (17) is an apprentice and earns an absolute pittance but no matter what she gets me lovely presents, not only from herself but also extras to be from her brother (DS 2.11). I've told her repeatedly that she doesn't need to spend loads of money on me, I would love anything she gave me because she puts a lot of thought into it but she doesn't listen to me.

I'm just feeling very proud, fortunate and loved :-)
