To think we need Wonder woman back?

OK so DS is into superheroes - big time. We tend to stock up on action figures at car boot sales, jumbles, and the odd BOGOF offer at toy stores. Yet NONE of those readily available are female figures.

DS (aged 4) maintains that this is because 'girls don't have adventures'. So am now combing eBay for Wonderwoman, Catwoman and any other female action figures I can find...and they are much pricier than the male equivalents. Oh and they don't tend to come with any neat accessories either.

I am just so fed up of this kind of thing. Does anyone remember watching the 1970s TV series of Wonderwoman as a kid? And just thinking Wow, she's so COOL... Where have the heroines gone??? Should we petition the Beeb to bring Wonderwoman back?

Her from eastenders did a pilot for a new wonder woman n it was shit you need to go to marvelfor decent super heriones rougue storm they are cooler than the sexy DC super heriones who tend to just high kick in pvc

Xena was on my list..the Incredibles movie is also a great idea Worra. And the Mrs Incredible doll is pretty nifty but is wedged on a stand...she's not an action toy and can't actually stand on her two feet.

Actually, so many of the female figures are on little stands - it doesnt look aa if they have really been made to do anything but stand in a glass case.Oh the irony...( or am I reading too much into this?)

I agree it's not great, but Marvel is miles better than DC. Black Widow is awesome in the Avengers and Cap2 (I hated IM2). But she won't get her own movie in the MCU, booo.

Introduce him to the X-men. Tons of female heroes, strong characters, and even currently an all-female team. Jean Grey (Phoenix) shouldn't be hard to find in a figure. Also Storm, Rogue, Shadowcat, Ms. Marvel... the list goes on.

Batgirl is gaining popularity again. Hawkgirl is cool.

And yes, Marvel is MUCH better at writing women than DC.

Don't forget the X men. Storm, Rogue, Jean Grey/Phoenix, Blink, Kitty Pride and loads more from the cartoons/comics.

Black Widow from the Avengers doesn't have superpowers but can still kick arse with robot suits and Gods.

The comics are catching up. Nowhere near as fast as I'd like but it's progess.

I love marvel my step dad told me off for watching the xmen cartoons when I was younger was for boys apparently I like the fantastic 4 as well

WW is well overdue a fabulous movie remake with a follow up tv series.

I've been waiting for a WW Lego key ring for years now. Every time I go past the lego shop I look for WW key ring. Without luck.

I have a fairly rare Princess Leia - only female Lego keyring.

About a month ago my persistence paid off and the WW keyrings were back in stock after more than 3 years!!! ALong with a rather fabulous Batgirl. I brought one of each but will get some more to stash for gifts next time I am passing.
