Glasses in Bed

extremelyfedup · 04/07/2014 22:34

My husband insists on wearing his glasses in bed, if you get what i mean.
I find it a bit weird, and sometimes they tend to get in the way......

Is it just me?

OP posts:
libertytrainers · 04/07/2014 22:35

does he fiddle with them to keep them in place

RhinestoneCowgirl · 04/07/2014 22:36

Surely they get sweaty and slide down his nose? (specs wearer here)

CuttedUpPear · 04/07/2014 22:37

Do your make up REALLY big (like with a broad brush)
Then he won't need them to see you.

blondiebonce · 04/07/2014 22:37

Aha well maybe he just wants to see you better! I often wear glasses and forget to take them off until my partner swipes them off and chucks them (carefully) and sexily away (is that a thing???) so things can er, get underway.

Or I've completely misread and he sleeps in his glasses. That sounds uncomfy.

SteeleyeSpanx · 04/07/2014 22:38

Yanbu, it's like keeping your socks on IMO.

I make DH take his off, but then I feel a bit sorry for him not being able to 'enjoy the view' personally, I think this is a good thing though

ShatnersBassoon · 04/07/2014 22:39

DH sometimes walks around with nothing but glasses and socks on, then expects me to want to have sex with him.

crazynanna · 04/07/2014 22:40

Does he wiggle them up and down like Eric Morecombe?
Cos that would just be weirdy

SteeleyeSpanx · 04/07/2014 22:40
SteeleyeSpanx · 04/07/2014 22:41

That was to shatners, btw

Ugh.

nicename · 04/07/2014 22:43

Just how bad is his eyesight?

Bunbaker · 04/07/2014 22:44

"Yanbu, it's like keeping your socks on IMO."

It's nothing like keeping your socks on. Sometimes my feet are freezing and OH doesn't want me to put my cold feet against him.

I am very short sighted but don't keep my glasses on in bed, not even to read.

Fairylea · 04/07/2014 22:44

If his eyes are anywhere near as bad as mine he'd need them on to have any hope of seeing you. Without mine on I could be seducing the next door neighbour and not have a clue, all I can see is a blur.

ShatnersBassoon · 04/07/2014 22:45

Aw, it's not ugh, just the least erotic presentation of manliness that has ever been seen.

justmuddlingalong · 04/07/2014 22:47

DP suggests he rolls you in flour and aims for the wet bit. Wink

I am very shortsighted and see nothing wrong with your DH's behaviour here.

I have fallen off the bed during sex and have completely missed the penis once trying to initiate oral. Best for everyone that I can see.......

BrokenButNotFinished · 04/07/2014 22:51

I've always taken mine off. Husband takes his off.

Used to quite like doing it outdoors in my youth. Different boyfriends though... was a contacts wearer at the time, but would probably have left glasses on in those circumstances - if only to keep an eye out for anyone coming (other than us Wink )

Elledouble · 04/07/2014 22:53

I take mine off. I hate it when they get smeary from his face when snogging.

whilewildeisonmine · 04/07/2014 22:54

Maybe everything seems more magnified and that's why he keeps them on?

MotherBluestocking · 04/07/2014 22:59

Given the difficulty most men have with locating of key body parts, I think your husband's being most considerate.

Eminybob · 04/07/2014 22:59

Both DP and I have horrendous eye site but as the lights tend to be off when we're in bed, there is no need for glasses Grin

Hiawatha44 · 04/07/2014 23:29

Both dh and I take ours off but only cause when we haven't we tend to get a clash of glasses and it ruins the mood a little.

QueenofLouisiana · 04/07/2014 23:47

I don't wear mine- a bit of soft focus effect can be quite useful Grin

starfishmummy · 04/07/2014 23:55

We both wear glasses. There is a bit of a clash and they could get entangled. Mine cost a blooming fortune (varifocals) so I am not risking breaking them for anyone!!

JudysPriest · 04/07/2014 23:57

Dh likes mine on. Grin
