To try to get a breast lift at same time as shoulder surgery

I'm going in for surgery on my shoulder. Part of the cause of the issue is due to bad posture because of my boobs. They're not massive - a DD - and after 3 kids and at my age (mid 40s) there's not much volume left. I wouldn't want implants. Just some of the skin removing and the darned things lifting. I was actually already thinking about this before I had this shoulder problem.

I'll go private for the shoulder op. I wouldn't try to/want to get the lift on the NHS. The breast lift would cost around 5-6k privately. I was wondering whether it would be possible to have both done at the same time. One anaesthetic/recovery period and a smaller bill for the boob bit.

Please, I am fully aware of the risks of surgery, the scarring etc. I'm not after advice/horror stories etc. I just don't even know if it's possible to have both ops at once and am trying to do some research before I see the shoulder surgeon.

Many thanks.

A work colleague did something similar, as she needed an operation on her c section scar tissue, She got two Surgeons to work together, it cost her less and she had one lot of recovery time. It worked very well

The first thing that came to my mind was the logistics of it. I would have thought that shoulder surgery would be done with you lying face down.

That is a very good point nbee84. I just googled the position on the operating table for the type of shoulder op and the pics all seem to show the patient lying on an operating table on their backs, with the back raised by around 45 degrees. Ooh, perhaps there is hope!
