Today she has eaten 2 helpings of breakfast (and the first one was 2 weetabix!), malt loaf as a snack, 2 helpings of cooked lunch (pie, potatoes and veg) and has now (3pm) munched her way through cheese, crackers and fruit, brought her bowl to me and demanded 'more!'

She's 20 months old.

She's going to have another growth spurt, isn't she!

Hollow legs

poledra that made me spit out my tea laughing!!

Is she a very active toddler?

CrohnicallyExhausted · 30/06/2014 16:14

poledra not heard that saying in years!

spandex Not as active as some toddlers I know- she never sits still but rather than running round kicking a ball or climbing, she's more likely to be dressing her doll (or trying to anyway!) or colouring. She's currently in the garden, alternating between pouring the water out of her water tray and taking her doll down the slide.

She is big for her age though- her dad is well over 6 foot and she's 75th-90th centile for height and weight.

She doesn't normally eat this much- she usually has a good appetite but not this good! It's just been since Friday her appetite has gone through the roof and it seems like I've not been able to fill her up. She's been going to sleep earlier too, and waking for milk again in the night.

Yup, she'll be turning green and splitting her clothes by next week. Get a drum of Calpol in and a kilo of cornmeal so you can chuck her a polenta* slice every 20 minutes.

Little sweetheart is doing some growing. Love the 'more' image....

Remembers uncle hovering bread loafs in his teens as growing. He normal if not under weight now. (Age 50 ish)

WeirdCatLady · 30/06/2014 18:22

Yup. Growth spurt alert.
My dd also has hollow legs - age 12 and 5'9 and still growing!!!
