AIBU? Has this been proposed before? I've never seen anyone post "yay, a reverse!" when the OP gets busted or comes clean. Reverse AIBUs just seem to wind everyone up and waste people's time admittedly that could apply to the whole of AIBU

OP posts:

Who cares. For all you know every post on here is full of lies anyway.

Well, they can and they do if they feel that's what's needed. MN is a lot more heavily moderated than it used to be (IMO) but I, for one, like that there is still a relatively light touch used.

I don't mind the reverse ones, they are fairly easy to spot and can give the OP a really clear indication of wether they were actually BU.

What's actually nasty is the troll hunting and downright mean responses that went on one particular thread recently. AIBU does seem to attract some utter cunts. Who probably have no idea that they are utter cunts and think they are completely entitled to behave however they like on an anonymous Internet forum.

Reverse threads don't make me ragey. They are just a bit pointless really. People get v angry about them though.

chockbic · 29/06/2014 15:47

What is a reverse thread please?

STOPwiththehahaheheloling · 29/06/2014 15:50

I dont think they do give the OP a clear indication actually because regardless of how much the try and present it as if they are the other person they just are not that person and so cant know their thoughts/motives/intentions. Its just not possible to do a reverse and present a fair account.
