It's only been on 21 minutes and I've already blubbed twice Blush

Don't watch it. It's not real Grin

MildDrPepperAddiction · 25/06/2014 22:37

YABU. It's a load of shite!

DoJo · 25/06/2014 22:39

Some people like it as it makes them feel prepared; I personally couldn't think of anything worse when I was pregnant the first time and since having my son I cry at anything, so can't watch for fear of dehydration...

MoominKoalaAndMiniMoom · 25/06/2014 23:23

I watched it until the week before I gave birth (would've watched it the week I gave birth too, but oddly enough they weren't keen on having it on in the antenatal ward Grin ). I love it Grin although I don't cry at the births like I did when pregnant. I just play 'Guess The Weight' with OH.

I genuinely would rather shit in my hand and slap myself round the face than watch OBEM.

But each to their own Grin

YANBU. I've always loved watching it but even more so since I gave birth at Southmead this year Grin.

Happydaysatlast · 26/06/2014 00:08

worra Grin and totally agree.

Have had my 4 without the need for cameras.

Why would you want to watch a stranger give birth. Just really don't get it.

Unforgivably boring TV show.

SourSweets · 26/06/2014 07:48

I loved it when pregnant but find it really boring when I'm not pregnant. Weird, let's see if I get into it again this time round.

I love obem and watch it when pregnant and when not pregnant, I find it so amazing when you see the baby's head out but body in, it has made me want dp to film my next birth as I'm sad I didn't see ds coming out.

The births on obem tend to be really different to ds's birth, it helped me decide what I didn't want in my birth (I didn't want to give birth lying on my back, I didn't want the baby to be whisked away and cleaned, I wanted delayed cord clamping).

I was expecting birth to be quite unpleasant partly due to watching obem but actually birth was surprisingly enjoyable.

I cry when each baby is born, it's just so magical!
