I have heard of this happening to people and despite calling Virgin and voicing my displeasure it seems they can do this to customers mid-contract and there is nothing I can do about it except leave at the end of my contract - in January! Grrr! Angry

I think you can terminate now.

Yep. Same here. I got fed up of Orange hiking up the price 3 times in my 2 year contract. And I didn't realise when I initially signed up that the price quoted was pre VAT. Tesco promised no increase and they quoted the price you pay.

Pity their coverage isn't great.

I'm with virgin and my tarrif has gone up 2.5%. Hardly the end of the world?

magoria · 23/06/2014 22:03

They did this to me on my broadband about 3 months after I signed up to them.

They increased by what worked out as over 10% at the beginning of this year. My term was up so I am elsewhere now.

Really shitty. If they agree to something for a certain price for a set period they should stick to it.

Similarly hacked off here. Can't recommend Virgin to anyone, sorry.

I've stuck with Virgin for years and used to think they were fine, but like quietbatperson I think they're on a downward slide customer service-wise. I have to admit to being pretty useless at resolving problems with my phone myself, so having access to good support/customer service is really important to me.
