What is it with the flies this year? They are in every room in my house. I swear one is following me around. I think I am going CRAZY. Their stupid buzzing is making my nerves frazzle.

I had to give in last weekend and buy spray for the fuckers. I usually won't use it due to how toxic it is, I have asthma and I don't like how it slowly kills them but there was no way I could of got them all out - I did try shooing them through open windows but the stupid bastards just flew on another window.

Returned to UK house last week and it looked like the PIL had been fecking breeding them.
I shit you not - there must have been 50 bluebottles throughout the house :(
Fly free for now :)

Hate the feckers too. Just bought ne of these for the back door www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAGIC-DOOR-MESH-MAGNETIC-FASTENING-FLYING-INSECT-DOOR-CURTAIN-FLY-SCREEN-BUG-NET-/291157604420?_trksid=p2054897.l5660 its brilliant. can have the door open to let the lovely summer air in and no flies. can see the evil little sods banging against the curtain and they cant get in mwuhahaha

for windows, get some sticky backed velcro from eBay. (you only need the hooky part)
stick it round the windows and use it to secure net curtain/dress net over the opening. deaf cheap and really effective.

I can't stand them either! I really feel on edge if one is flying around me. I can't relax or concentrate on anything. We live near many farms/ stables and so have an abundant fly population.

Last summer I put that netting up on most of the windows but towards the end of summer the velcro tape wouldn't stick well and it looked a mess really. Last month we invested in proper fly screens for all the windows. £££- but seriously worth it! I would rather scrimp on something else and have fly screens for peace of mind. They are brilliant and they roll up out of the way for the 9 months of the year when it's too cold to open the windows.

It appears that I have some long acting magic fly spray.
I sprayed it a week ago mostly on the windows and I've still got the odd fucker dropping :)
