I think I might be in danger of overstepping the line but...

My 12 year old niece is on FB and lives her life over it - fall outs with friends etc. She recently 'split up' with her boyfriend because he called her a slag, pushed her and spat on her best friend.

She was devastated and publicly lived it out on FB. Her Mum (my sis) is on there and saw it all but hasn't spoken to dn about it.

DN announced this morning that the relationship is back on, that she is very happy and that they are going to be together forever. My sis has 'liked' her post and not mentioned the that this might not be the best idea because he is a little shit

Now I KNOW dn is not my child but I think someone needs to have a word with her and explain that his behaviour isn't acceptable.

Disclaimer - i know that she may be no angel etc.

would you do anything? Dsis says it's just childish fall outs and will blow over.

I would agree that someone needs to have a word with DN about how this is not the way she should let herself be treated by a BF, otherwise she'll think this is normal behaviour and allow herself to be treated like this all her life.
FB scares me sometimes, I look at the pages of my 12 year old DS's friends and wonder how on earth they generate and cope with so much drama at such a young age, what happened to childhood?!

She maybe hasn't said anything because the more she fights against it, the more her daughter will do it anyway, and by not saying anything against it means she may be more approachable to her daughter. On the other hand she might have seen this all before with her and know it falls into a pattern for her and it will be on again off again teenage crap.
