So this morning somebody comes out of the door stairs toilet. It stinks. I ask have opened the window?
Yes, they lie. Fucker for lying.
But really it is just manners surely???

Bastards. You open the window and shut the bathroom door in my flat, otherwise it drifts out into the rest of the flat. Bleurgh.

Keep a box of matches in the toilet and strike one after a poo. The sulphur eliminates the smell.

Although my Husband will often come out of the toilet exclaiming "that was a 2 match job"

Can't open the window in ours. Its an "Oust" and a fan left on job.

Yes its good manners isn't It to open the windows and close the door when you come out?

I ask for a little toilet gel put down the toilet after flushing along with the window to neutralise the smell quicker.

Gamer, that's what I'd like but it's pointless to aim for standards too high. I'd have more luck asking a dog to poop in the toilet and flush!

DP has been known to leave the window and door shut so it doesn't even get diluted by spreading out to another room

lighting a match does not get rid of the smell of shit, its a myth.

We don't have a window and the ventilation fan thing is broken (wasn't much help anyway). I've left a lit scented candle in there when we have people round. Otherwise it's the air freshener - Neutrodol, not one of the stinky ones. Shutting the door just locks it all in there.

It is a bit unpleasant sometimes.

OH and I seem to have both gone for the tactic of just being too polite to mention it.

Neutrodol is great. The little gel versions are good too, and you can get them in the pound shops.
