There is still pumping music blaring out. I'm all for commiserating but this is ridiculous now. I need sleep.

WIBU or would they just laugh at me?

No - 3;45am is very late for them still to have a licence to serve booze. 101.

ffluffy · 15/06/2014 04:16

Oops it's not the pub. Lucky I didn't ring. It's the student house opp. Phone call to the council tomorrow then.

Is there not an out of hours noise nuisance service?

ffluffy · 15/06/2014 04:23

Not that I can see.

They have an out of hours team which run until 03:30...

Fideliney · 15/06/2014 04:31

Have they stopped?

Fideliney · 15/06/2014 04:32

Underestimated your neighbours then.

ffluffy · 15/06/2014 04:36

Nope. Still going. They've all gone inside though so no more shouting.

Some kind of party-riot-orgy going on here too. Slowly petering out now. Anyone would think we won.

ffluffy · 15/06/2014 04:45

No signs of slowing here. At this rate I'll be able to get the out of hours onto them when they reopen at 7:30.

That's it - think positive Wink

ffluffy · 15/06/2014 04:58

Just gone over and shouted until they switched it off. Their excuse was 'its a Saturday and it's the world cup'

The university they attend should also have a community liaison type person who you can call and drop them in it with.

ffluffy · 15/06/2014 07:48

Well 15 minutes later they switched it back on. I got straight on the phone to the council (turns out there's a 24hr reporting line, even if the team won't come out now). I went back over to shout again and they seem to have realised I mean business.

augen Already fired off an angry email. I'm actually studying at the same university (postgrad) so have been receiving lots of emails from the liaison officer reminding students to be mindful of our neighbours, particularly in our postcode.

I can't get over the fact that they seemed to think that it was okay because its a Saturday night. One of them told me that they had written a note to warn the neighbours. As if that means their behaviour is now acceptable. I feel so sorry for the elderly next door neighbours who have an adjoining wall. Their house must have been shaking.

Thank you for all the support. Hope yours quietened down, Fideliney

Saturday night = free pass is a strange idea. I hope they don't make a habit of it.

I think ours all passed out by five.
