....I know not 1, but 2 people who give herbalife to their toddlers! Am they actually seem so proud of the fact - posting pictures on fb showing their matching shakes Shock

If grown women want to waste their money on that crap then I won't judge them but it can't be healthy for a 2/3 year old to drink. One of the mums actually gives her 6 year old the (ridiculously caffeinated) green tea. I tried a cup and actually had heart palpitations.

It tastes minging, how do they get toddlers to drink it.

welshnat · 14/06/2014 19:42

Exactly it's disgusting! And the texture is even worse.

Seriously? Shock

I would have thought that was dangerous. Why would they do that?

Waltonswatcher1 · 14/06/2014 19:50

What is it ?

welshnat · 14/06/2014 20:04

It's a replacement milkshake you drink twice a day and then eat one meal in the evening. It's more than 100% rda of vitamins and what by for adults (supposedly) so obviously more than rda for a 2/3 year old. The green tea is what shocked me most to be honest. It is pure caffeine.

And they both do it because the kids like it. Mine likes to eat crayons but it doesn't mean I'm going I start serving it up with pasta! I'm seriously starting to question their judgement.

YANBU. Its ridiculous that they are giving a child something that is tailored to an adult!!

My kids would eat chocolate all day if they could, obviously I am not going to let them as I can use that word that some parents are afraid to use. No!

Do they think it is clever and they are making their children healthy?

thenightsky · 14/06/2014 20:12

I thought green tea was meant to be caffeine free Shock

welshnat · 14/06/2014 20:22

products.herbalife.co.uk/weight-management/herbal-tea

Each cup contains 85mg of caffeine!!

Lordy Lordy .
The worlds gone mad !
Sounds like herbal slim fast - just the thing for toddlers !

Rainbowrock · 14/06/2014 22:51

Eugh to the herbalife! Green tea is all but caffiene free through. The leaves are regular tea leaves - but they're dried and rolled to make tea when then they are still green. The caffiene content is I think the same for black and green tea weight for weight but you use far far less green tea to make a cup or tea bag then you do for regular tea, therefore there's much less caffiene in green tea.

Sorry for the lengthy explanation - I just know a bit about tea!

welshnat · 15/06/2014 01:40

Yes normal herbal tea is caffeine free but theirs has 86mg per cup like I said and it's also supposed to burn calories....because that's exactly what children need.

Bloody hell I'd need to have almost 3 cans of cola to get that amount of caffeine!

YANBU, my judgy pants are pulled very high! Shock
