So I am peri menopausal with variouse nocturnal symptoms which affect sleep. Aching limbs, need to go to loo and night sweats etc. Also co sleeping with a breastfed toddler so I haven't had an uninterrupted nights sleep for nearly two years. Normally waking at 12 and 3am as a minimum.
Well this morning dd was up at 6.30 so I went downstairs with her to prevent her waking whole house. Other dc woke at 7.30. Dh surfaces at 9.30 and does the o I have had such a bad night routine. I was awake at 1.30 3.30 etc et. I think I will have a shower to wake up. Do you want to join me?
Aibu to have decined offer and told him to sort out dd whilst I have a shower.
Tbf he does get up an hour before me during the week but weekends are his time for a lie in.

I personally would sort out the cause of me not sleeping i.e the co-sleeping breastfeeding toddler...

oxfordcomma75 · 15/06/2014 11:01

She doesn't really interrupt much at night. Maybe wakes once. Latches on an we can go straight back to sleep.
Although it does affect situation indirectly as I don't think I could use hrt whilst still breastfeeding.
She is 21 months so hopefully will decide she o longer needs the comfort/nutrition soon.

I think that if you are up in the right your dp should do the morning shift.
