Am I overreacting to worry so much about this?

The last time I got my brows threaded they were absolutely ruined by someone who was also extremely rude.

When I went in today, the professional on duty was one of ladies I get my brows done from usually and she immediately spotted the disaster. She was very upset and asked me to describe who had done them the last time. I described the other assistant to her and explained the poor experience I had had last time.

She said she was going to take a picture of my brows to show her manager and the person who had messed them up and before I knew it she had taken one on her phone. It had my whole face in it and I wasn't comfortable with that. So I asked her to delete that picture and take one with just the brows in it and she said OK.

I don't know why but I am really uneasy with it all because II saw her fiddling with her phone but I am not a 100% certain that she deleted the picture with my face on it.

Technically anyone could take my picture anytime I step out without my even realising it, but I don't know why I am obsessing over this so much.

Am I overreacting? What's the worst someone could do with my picture?

And yes I know this is a first world problem.

Well they obviously aren't going to use it for publicity if it's a bad example.

Lottiedoubtie · 07/06/2014 22:37

Yes overreacting I'm afraid, I don't think there's anything particularly scary that she could do with your picture. It's ok to prefer her to not take a picture of you, but shouldn't be a major cause of stress IMO.

Burren · 07/06/2014 22:40

Is it that you're afraid you'll be identifiable to the staff member who did a bad job?

BunnyBugs · 07/06/2014 22:42

Nah I don't really care about being identifiable to the staff. I just keep thinking they'll use my picture on the internet for something sinister.

OP posts:
Lottiedoubtie · 07/06/2014 22:46

But what exactly?

NoArmaniNoPunani · 07/06/2014 22:47

What kind of sinister motive could they have for a picture of your eyebrows?

MagpieMama · 07/06/2014 22:58

I think in the age of the internet a lot of people worry about strangers having personal information including photographs but it sounds like she was genuinely outraged on your behalf and wanted to prevent it happening to other people or maybe she really doesn't like the other woman and was looking forward to getting one over on her. I'm sure she won't do anything sinister, why would she?

BunnyBugs · 07/06/2014 23:09

If it's just a picture of my brow then I don't care. I'm worried she may not have deleted the picture with my face visible.

Hakluyt · 07/06/2014 23:12

Even if they did use your face for something sinister- can't imagine what, by the way- what difference would it make to you?

BunnyBugs · 07/06/2014 23:14

I don't know- I could be embarrassed publicly or lose my job?

OP posts:
Lottiedoubtie · 07/06/2014 23:30

Lose your job? How?

Are you normally this anxious?

CarbeDiem · 07/06/2014 23:33

I take it she's a professional Bunny? If she done something sinister with a clients photo she could lose her own job - so realistically, the odds are she only wanted it for what she told you.
Try not to worry

RhondaJean · 07/06/2014 23:34

Look it's not a normal thought process to go from a badly done eyebrow to losing your job. Are you okay in general op?

But YANBU that they should have deleted the image if you asked,if it had been me I would have shown you me do the deletion.

MsVestibule · 07/06/2014 23:34

But why would you lose your job if your photo was posted on the internet Confused? I doubt many people haven't had their photo on the internet at some point.

BitOutOfPractice · 07/06/2014 23:36

I think you're being a bit OTT. Why are you so paranoid about this?

careeristbitchnigel · 07/06/2014 23:49

Why would you lose your job for having a bad experience at a beauty parlour ???

NorksEnormous · 07/06/2014 23:52

You are over reacting massively about this!! Why did public humiliation and you losing your job even enter your mind when she took a picture? It was only to see your eyebrows!

DollyWosits · 08/06/2014 00:23

Unless you are Kate Middleton I wouldn't worry about this. If it's bugging you could always go back and check with her. I also wouldn't worry about worrying about this Grin. IYSWIM . You are not the first person to have an irrational worry Smile

MrsWinnibago · 08/06/2014 01:11

Are you worried you'll turn up on one of those "Worst ever eyebrows!" type things...sites dedicated to bad tattoos and awful hair?

If so you're overreacting.

YolandiFuckinVisser · 08/06/2014 01:15

I don't even know what brow threading is?

ManchesterAunt · 08/06/2014 10:03

This is precisely the thought process that CBT is great for. Try it OP
