I saw a post earlier today in active convos re advice for a parent whose son had molluscum skin problem.

Several posters recommended a particular cream which had positive results.

My nephew has this and my sister has tried for 2 YEARS to sort it. My nephew is 7 and has started to be really self conscious so as soon as I saw the thread I bookmarked it

Except I didn't! Have tried searching talk (my sister says there are many different spellings for it) and I can't find it.

I can't find the thread in health or parenting. Can anyone help? My sister is desperate to know the name of the cream. From what I remember the cream works by sending the virus into the body so that the body remembers it has a virus to fight. Or something.

www.google.co.uk/search?q=molluscum+virus+cream+treatment&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari Various creams are mentioned there, any of them ring a bell?

Did you hide the thread instead of watching it?

Silly question but has she been the GP?

When my DD had it, I was recommended to put a sterilised pin in them, so the body knew they were there and I was given tablets, because my DD has SN/went to a SN school, so hygiene was difficult to enforce.

Molludab! My dd1 had molluscum no treatment took 18mths to go. DD2 had them dabbed molludab on and they went (except 2 on the back of her knee) in 2mths didn't spread and didn't get sore like dd1.

Thank you! I think I probably did hide it by mistake. That's definitely the one.

Very grateful as I'm sure my sister will be Thanks

birdsgottafly yeah she went to the gp. I joke with my sister that she should book a regular slot with them on a weekly basis! She really really worries a lot about every little thing wrong with them. I love my sister very much but would be the first to admit that she's ever so slightly neurotic when it comes to her kids!

But in this instance I can see why she's so concerned as it doesn't seem to be shifting and my little nephew is really self conscious about it now.
