To think DH could be a bit appreciative?

DH and I went shopping yesterday to an outlet village. He got some trainers and realised this morning that he didn't bring them home and asked if I'd phone all of the stores that he went to yesterday and try to locate them.

I have just tracked them down; DH left them in one store's changing room!

Just phoned DH and said I'd managed to locate them, and instead of thanking me for spending the best part of an hour phoning around stores, he just started saying "Well I don't see how I could have left them in there. I'm SURE I picked them up" When plainly, he didn't!

I said that a "thank you" would be nice and he is now in a bad mood with me because I said he could have thanked me!

AIBU to think he should have appreciated me sorting out his mistake for him?!

He probably just felt like an idiot for leaving them behind! But yes thanks would've been nice so YANBU but I'm sure he'll say it when he gets home

Hmmm I think I'm just a bit annoyed as he rarely thanks me for anything or appreciates anything that I do and just takes me for granted and moans if things aren't done. Plus he's been in a foul mood for about 3 days now and not pleasant to live with.

But yes, hopefully he will thank me once he gets home. He'd better do or he'll be washing his own pants and cooking his own meals for a long time

He's probably annoyed with himself for leaving them. Re a thank you, depends on if you thank him for every thing he does. I'd have not thought it would take an hour to phone shops so maybe he didn't either and thought it was a quick job.
