Is really pointless?

This shouldn't irritate me so much but we are quarantined due to CP and the DDs like watching the adverts Hmm

Anyway the advert, you have a stain, go to the website and all the "real people" tips are "stick vanish on it ?" What the bollocks is the point!

The tips may be pointless ie made up, but the ad did make me put the gold version on my shopping list! So, effective advertising ........

Sparklingbrook · 26/05/2014 08:56

Vanish has never worked for me. Does the gold version mean that they won't be selling the other clearly inferior Vanish versions now?

tmae · 26/05/2014 09:00

I find them incredibly irritating too, disproportionately so.

Tobagostreet · 26/05/2014 09:03

Pointless 'real life examples of how to rub Vanish on a stain'Blush

Crap product which has NEVER, in my experienced, worked on any stain.

But alas catchy adverts which make my DS's say "Mummy we NEED to buy Vanish Gold" (don't get me started on how much we NEED Cillit Bang or Mr Muscle Sink and Plughole Unblocker!!!)

Ilovehamabeads · 26/05/2014 09:06

Or Calgon. Our washing machine will work better, so my children tell me in the supermarket.

BigRedBall · 26/05/2014 09:09

I hate them. Especially the one where the woman stuffs half the towel up her nostril smelling it. Irritating and weird adverts imvho!
