I'm too hot and pregnant ( only 18 weeks, it's going to get so much worse!) I'm on the sofa with an ice pack on my bump to try and cool down. Dp thinks I'm freezing the baby but I'm pretty sure he/she is well insulated in there.

Aibu?

Try putting it in the crook between your chin and your neck just under your ear.
It's where the blood is closest to the surface of your skin and should cool you quicker

:) ice is actually one of the methods suggested to me to try to turn a breach baby - ice on the top and heat on the bottom and baby turns head towards heat/away from ice (in theory). Anyway YANBU obviously, it's your comfort that's more important, babe will let you know if (s)he's unhappy.

An old guy I used to work with years ago said to put your wrists under cold running water to cool you down or in a bucket of cold water, must be the same principle as the neck. Something they used to do in the army in the desert to cool down!
