To consider moving to Horsham for a better life?

We currently live in Carshalton however are seriously considering a move to Horsham / somewhere that way by the end of the year before our eldest starts school next September
What's horsham like to live in?
I've never needed to drive and don't particularly want to start, would I still get away with this in this area?
Is it a nice family friendly place to live?
Cheers

Could be,however they didn't just focus on wc boys (which incidentally there is plenty of research on).

The article describes how pupils from all backgrounds catch up then finds someone from an educational lobbying organisation to wonder whether white kids are falling behind.
Hardly research

but perhaps common sense?

I prefer Horsham, won't be Emmerdale but out of the 2.....

I've only found it an issue when there is a monoculture, with a few outsiders who don't share the language. In schools with a diverse range of languages, English becomes the universal tongue in the playground, with multilingual children swapping from their home language to English and back again.
I also agree that poor grammar and a limited vocabulary are key issues in some specific areas amongst all children.

The school in particular I am talking about is 70% EE so no multi culture as in the article.

I agree in a school with loads of differnet langauge the dynamic will be different.

But in a school with 70% EE the dynamic is changed again.
