Today DS1 turns 6, tomorrow DS2 turns 4. On Saturday we had a party at my mums, on Sunday I went to a party for my dad (his birthday is also tomorrow), today we had a joint party for the DC at a local play centre. They've had a great time and I'm pleased but I'm so fed up.

I'm due to give birth in 4 weeks time, I've spent all morning (literally 4 hours) building a car race track presents for the DC only to discover it's too big for the house and the boys can't work it anyway without the cars flying off. I spent all afternoon preparing for their party and all evening at the party.

I've not had time for my tea yet and the boys are fast asleep so I'm currently having a little cry in their bedroom until I feel better and can go and join DH downstairs. It's not DHs fault. He's done all he can to help but had to work today.

I'm glad he parties are over though, will be glad of the rest tomorrow.

I don't blame you! I'm exhausted enough after reading your post. I can't imagine how tired you must feel, especially with only 4 weeks to go in your pregnancy.

You're allowed! Yanbu, parties are exhausting.

Phew. I feel better now after that. Just looked out the window and poor DH is half way through building a trampoline after a full day at work. He must be as fed up as me. Oh well, toast and bed I think. Thanks for your replies.

Have a Brew

You and your DH sound like ace parents. Smile

I've been sent to bed by DH while he finishes the trampoline. Early start tomorrow as DS2 knows it's his birthday so no doubt will be up at 6. Feeling very grateful to have such a lovely DH though.
