to think copying posts on facebook is a bit odd?

It's happened to me at least ten times since Christmas. I've posted something my dc have done/said and a few days later one of my FB friends have copied it. For example, I made scented homemade play doh and toddler tasted it. I posted a joke about it and picture of the kids playing. A few days later a friend posted the exact same thing with a photo of her children.

When I announced my pregnancy I did a specific announcement photo using my dc which I'd never seen done before. The next day, another friend did the exact same thing. Both are friends (people I see at toddler groups, occasionally for coffee) I see in real life and if the situation was reversed I'd feel awkward. Aibu to think the copying is a bit odd?

They liked what you did and wanted to do it. It's a compliment surely?

With regard to the pregnancy announcement perhaps sillybilly but the joke involved a quote from my toddler so was very unlikely to have been said by her dc too.

A bit odd, surely people want to be original to a certain degree!

Anyway, how did you announce the pregnancy!? :)
