Perhaps mine are the exception to the rule......they seem to have trouble remembering the rule against food and drink in the sitting room....and then they argue and something gets spilt....and muggins gets stuck with cleaning up the mess after they make a vague effort before I send them to their rooms.....AIBU to expect them to either not take food/drink into the sitting room or if they do to at least make sure they don't spill it......grrrrr
