Just found the whole "let's sneer at funny English hobbies " because to join our ...as some random American comedians from about 80 years ago...a club that would accept us is not a club we would want to join.

AIBU to find the whole ad very strange...maybe I am missing the point but who does this appeal to?

can we sneer at Scots/ Welsh....maybe a bit of petanque to sneer at the French?

Urgh I hate those everyman northern voiceovers that are supposed to sound comforting, relatable and trustworthy. (It's not the accent I hate, it's the cynical use of them to sell something)
