It's my birthday today. I only have a brother and sister as my parents passed away. Plus dh, dc and inlaws. My brother and sister always buy a thoughtful gift with a little prompting for brother. Although will only get this when I next see them which could be several months away.
Dh gave me a card with a note to buy myself an item but not until may. (An item we actually need rather thN 1 I particularly want)
A gift voucher from the kids and a cq from mil.
I know I am not forthcoming with birthday ideas but feel a little sad I have absolutely nothing to open.
Aibu to be a little disappointed.

Happy birthday to you. I'm sorry, that hasn't made you feel particularly special.

In your position I would probably by myself a bottle of wine and some nice smellies, and lock myself in the bathroom. If anyone knocks, tell them you are treating yourself on your birthday.

Take some Wine, Cake and Thanks from me too.
