To still be so shocked at some peoples ignorance?!

Sorry, it's a Facebook one! I use FB for my business which is how I come to see various things posted by non-friends.

Tonight, I had the displeasure of seeing "catching up on eastenders. why the fuck is there now a midget in it" - is this person serious?! I cannot for the life of me even begin to accept that people this idiotic still exist. I'm horrified, in all honesty. When someone (only one person mind!) commented to say it was horrible, the op didn't understand why and simply posted "???" Followed by excuses such as "I am actually scared of them though"

I just needed to have a moan really.

Sad

See I don't actually mind people posting ignorant stuff.. How does a person learn and adapt their thinking if they don't? Why don't you say something?

She's a good actress that lady.. I remember watching her in casualty once, she played a really good part.

See now I agree to an extent gamer, I have said some ignorant things in my time I'm sure, although not so publicly and only ever to people who would very kindly question my thoughts or explain that what I've said is rude, but this woman is a fully grown adult, does she really need telling that a midget is a human being like the rest of us and why the f* shouldn't she bloody be on eastenders? (I don't even watch it) it's almost as they she things midgets aren't real....when someone told her she was being rude, and explained why....she just didn't see the issue. I'm just baffled.

I'm not easily offended by things like this I should say.....just really made me quite sad that some people think this way.

Isn't midget an offensive term in itself?

hmc · 27/04/2014 23:46

Justgirl - people are a constant source of bitter disappointment aren't they..... I'm not keen on people generally!

justgirl · 27/04/2014 23:58

It's not a term I would choose to use Geraldine I have to say.

Hmc I definitely agree. I saw a quote today that said "I'd go out more if it wasn't so people outside" - I know the feeling.
