Split up with EA ex feb last year. Early January (ie the month before) there was a night where I pretty much realised it was ending and I had a proper sob on my friends shoulder, but after that, nothing. All through the moving, divorce, couple of weeks trying again and failing, mistreatment, harassment, bullying. Nothing. Not a tear was shed.

Anyway, I got a new boyfriend and built up my life, all was going well, then XH did something so bad that I ended up telling the entire story to a lovely police officer who agreed that he had treated me badly. I dunno why, maybe it was the outside opinion confirming it, or the actually standing up to him or what, but a few days later I was looking at one of those buzz feed 'here are some lovely pictures' things and I started crying. Full on sobbing. DP must have thought I'd gone mad but he cuddled me and got me a glass of water and him not shouting at me set me off even more.

Anyway, now I'm crying at everything! Kind of happy tears, I'm not depressed (seriously, I know depressed far too well) but any kind of sentimental song or film and I'm fighting back the tears.

I've gone soft Grin I've gone sillier too, and cuddlier, and I'm sharing stupid pictures on Facebook and fussing over cute things (I was squeaking at a baby snail last night). It's kind of like I've stopped holding my breath and I'm letting all my ridiculous behaviour out...

I must be really annoying, like. I think I've regressed a bit. I've been ill the last few days and I've basically been acting like a spoiled child.

I hope I start acting like a grown up independent mother of two soon, but for now I'm dizzy with freedom.

Has anyone else had this? Did they grow up again eventually?
