I don't even watch it usually. And I don't like Ian Beale. But oh my god that was heartbreaking! I'm in floods of tears.

MikeLitoris · 22/04/2014 20:06

And me :(

VodkaJelly · 22/04/2014 20:06

I might have had a sniffle too! Good acting all round

SnakeyMcBadass · 22/04/2014 20:06

Peter wailing 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO' made me snot attractively. I hate myself :(

grabaspoon · 22/04/2014 20:07

Me too :(

GiveTwoSheets · 22/04/2014 20:08

I don't normally watch it and didnt see episode before this one but even I welled up!

LadyRabbit · 22/04/2014 20:09

I never really watch either but bloody hell, it was so sad and beautifully acted tonight.

makingdoo · 22/04/2014 20:09

It was Peters reaction that got me. Brilliant acting

CinnabarRed · 22/04/2014 20:10

What happened?

QueMierda · 22/04/2014 20:10

That guttural howl at the end Sad

whatadrama · 22/04/2014 20:11

I was absolutely fine with Ians reaction but Peter pushed me over the edge and made me sob.

BornLippy · 22/04/2014 20:12

I was all teary towards the end and then Peter and Ian's struggle to the ground followed by peters howl just set me off laughing Confused

freezation · 22/04/2014 20:13

I never watch it, don't know why I had it on really, but I was sobbing at the end. Being pregnant with twins I'm extra hormonal I think!

tumbletime · 22/04/2014 20:13

Same here, Peter collapsing and howling, particularly the last wail, completely set me off! I am so much more emotional with things like this on tv since becoming a mum!

Areallthegoodnamestaken · 22/04/2014 20:15

Yup, sobbing away. Brilliantly done.

Eebahgum · 22/04/2014 20:16

How could you laugh bornlippy? Are you human?

First time I had watched EE in absolute yonks. Brilliant acting all round, but I am sure Sharon had no idea what Phil had just done to that newborn puppy when she kissed him. Ewww!

LuluJakey1 · 22/04/2014 20:18

I really liked how they juxtaposed the humour, sadness and then relief of the birth of the puppies with the devastation Lucy's death caused. Really well acted by the actor who plays Ian. Very under-stated at times but very effective. I didn't cry though- was just impressed. The last scene was the only bit I thought they didn't quite get right- bit over the top falling to their knees in the Square. Oh, I know, I'm hard- hearted!

LokiDokey · 22/04/2014 20:19

I confess I laughed (I don't normally watch EE but caught the end). When he said "Lucy's gone!" DH quipped "To reality TV" and that was it.

I'm heartless.

Itsfab · 22/04/2014 20:20

Me too. Shows what good actors they are that they can make one cry over a character that imo wasn't nice. Crying for Ian and Peter Sad.

Musicaltheatremum · 22/04/2014 20:23

Apparently they couldn't rehearse it, just had to do the takes. I never watch it now but just caught it tonight whilst channel hopping and was really impressed by the acting especially Peters howling at the end.

RobinSparkles · 22/04/2014 20:26

I can't cope! Two soap deaths in one day! :(

LadyRabbit · 22/04/2014 20:27

I reckon Janine did it, btw...

Itsfab · 22/04/2014 20:29

Who was the other death?

BornLippy · 22/04/2014 20:31

Haha prior to laughing I did shed a tear!! When Ian was saying 'not here' I was practically choking back the tears but I duno, didn't do it for me!
