to sell Oleg on eBay?

I've finally received my baby Oleg after buying car insurance on compare the market and was looking forward to oooohhing and aaaahhing over it. Which I've now done.

THEN I looked on eBay and they're selling for between £40 and £70!

WIBU to sell him in case he's worth squillions many years from now? For some reason I feel guilty about selling his furry wee self!

Sell him. He's creepy.

wherethewildthingis · 11/04/2014 21:05

Sell him, we are on our third ! Not had less than forty yet. Get rid!

Jbck · 11/04/2014 21:07

We must have everything not nailed down insured have had nearly every one and sold them.

DH lets the DCs look at them before they go back in the boxes. Cruel Daddy Grin

sparklyskyy · 11/04/2014 21:08

Grin My mum was a little freaked out when she saw him. I think he's cute!

Still leaning towards selling him...

I want one

plentyofsoap · 11/04/2014 21:09

Unless you really want to play with him get him gone!

sparklyskyy · 11/04/2014 21:17

I just took another look at him after the creepy comments (undid his babygro and he has a nappy on underneath!) then I caught sight of his eyes!

Oh god yes, I've got £40 ish twice for the ones I've had before. Sell in and have a nice dinner with the proceeds I say.

VampyreofTimeandMemory · 11/04/2014 21:21

I want Oleg :(

travailtotravel · 11/04/2014 21:25

We are waiting for Oleg to arrive. We have a whole fleet of them. Cute but pointless!

breatheslowly · 11/04/2014 21:28

DD loves her Oleg and I now want to get her all of them. But I won't be shelling out £40 a pop on eBay.

Polarn · 11/04/2014 21:29

Why the fuck would people buy them for £40+

VampyreofTimeandMemory · 11/04/2014 21:30

I looked on ebay expecting them to be a couple of quid... how wrong I was. I feel that owning an Oleg is an unattainable goal. Might just adopt a real meerkat.

Longdistance · 11/04/2014 21:32

I think they're the next collect able, like the NatWest piggies were.

sparklyskyy · 11/04/2014 21:45

I can't believe how much they are either! Shock

Think I'll need to strike while the iron's hot!

You unfeeling bastard Angry

Poor baby Oleg was already dumped on Alexander's doorstep

Now you want to traffik him Sad

VampyreofTimeandMemory · 11/04/2014 21:51

He's even cuter on the advert.

Nerf · 11/04/2014 21:51

I've got two weird meerkats on the cupboard. Maybe I should sell them

sparklyskyy · 11/04/2014 22:21

We, the unsuspecting public, have been duped Worra. You just need to look at eBay to see that the real Oleg has been cloned and now we are overrun with the blighters so we have to do something! We are fighting back (whilst lining our pockets).

VelvetSpoon · 11/04/2014 22:26

I love my baby Oleg. Not sure I could part with him even for £40!

The DSs think I'm nuts though.

Wigglebummunch · 11/04/2014 22:33

How long did it take to arrive? I've been waiting ages for ours.

TimeToThinkOfYourFuture · 11/04/2014 22:40

We now have five meerkats and DD loves them. Wonder how much I'd get for a whole collection?! Do they have to be boxed though? DD would never forgive me!

sparklyskyy · 11/04/2014 22:42

Um, about 3 months I think Wiggle. They need to wait until they get confirmation from the company that you've taken the product from. I think this is normally 2 direct debits?

VelvetSpoon · 11/04/2014 22:51

My Oleg definitely took at least a couple of months to arrive. But he was worth the wait Grin
