Bathtime. Bubbles, me sitting on the loo seat chatting.

Dollies and playmobil and building forts.

Playgrounds. Can't remember the last time i went down a slide.

Making daisy chains.

Reading lovely bedtime stories, from picture books to a chapter a night proper ones.

Getting excited about tractors.

Disney films.

Putting them to bed at 6.30 and having 4 hours of peace in the evenings.

Days out to farms.

Proper cuddles.

Somebody slap me ease.

Playdough!

Making cakes!

Getting excited about tractors.

Painting.

Glitter!

I even like buggies and prams.

Well my 4 year old has chicken pox and has been ill all day.

My 2 year old has had about 15 tantrums - 1 of which was based upon me not lifting him up quickly enough to see a passing bloody tractor. He had another tantrum when we were leaving the park and did the whole going limp whilst screeching like a pterodactyl - infront of the whole park. Bath time was a disastrous screech-fest of not wanting hair washed and fighting over a plastic egg.

Constantly wiping up wee, snot, drinks....
Inability to reason with them
Military style operation to leave house
Having to get three people dressed every morning
Cajoling every mouthful of good
General idiocy of toddlers and preschoolers

Half the dinner on the floor, the other half on their face!

The stench of dirty nappys

Sleepless nights

Having a handbag full of baby wipes, toy cars, apple cores.

Not leaving the house without a full on military operation.

Being woken up at 6.30am on the weekend.

Expensive childcare

Constant talk about dinosaurs, Lego or Star Wars
Being the only person who can understand 2 yo's words

Snotty kisses :-)
Singing funny songs and forgetting the words
The I did it myself gleeful squeal
Mummy cuddles
Maked up words
How happy they are to see you after you've been at work all day
Giggles after their stinky little farts
Little crafty things they make just for you

Aw, thanks for the reminder that I will really miss this stage when it's gone. I was looking at a cupboard today that we need to clear out and thinking how sad I'll be when it's time to throw away the play tent, the little tykes car etc. My last baby is only 7 months old so there's a while yet!

Early mornings do put me off a bit.

DD2 didn't sleep through the night until she was 6 so that doesn't phase me.

I like having useful stuff like wipes and cars in my handbag.

I don't do snot so taught them the art of nose blowing before they were potty trained.

I didn't have MN when they were small though so couldn't fuell my neuroses and paranoia. Just got on with stuff without asking 'is this normal?' 'Should I do that?' 'Why, how and when.... ?'

I miss painting, drawing, making things together.

Trips out to parks, farms, seaside, picnics etc

playing with the toy castles and making a massive "village" all over the dinning room floor!

watching films...especially musicals that we'd sing along to!

Bed time stories as well

actually I just miss being together..makes me feel sad......

The small stage is lovely at the minute but I'm just a novice.

Today I drew a sudacrem tache on 1 yo DS and he got his own back by kissing it onto me.

Now I would love it if someone did school projects for me and I just pay them, perhaps you could do that.

How about respite care.

I was just eyeing my sons space ship and hot wheels set wishing I had somewhere to put it when I read this. Made me realise it wont be long until its replaced by an x box or I pad. These are precious times. I really don't miss the baby and toddler years though.

Me too. Onto teen spots and moods now! Used to love lining the 3 of them up on he stairs for shoes, coats and bags!!

We did some bloody good projects. I made them walk up snowdon and made cheese!

Nope after 5 children I feel I have done all that in spades and very glad the youngest is 9 and nearly out of it

I really like when small babies fart. Tiny little newborn bundle farting like a trooper after a vindaloo. Cracks me up every time!

I just put DS to bed (at 8pm, how do you get them to go to sleep at 6:30pm and not wake you at 4am, you must be magic) hugging a small, filthy flowerpot he found in the garden because it wasn't worth the fricken tantrum to get it off him. I cannot wait till he's old enough to reason with!

Oh but the teething, the temperatures and worrying about every little rash

Trying to have five minutes to yourself so you can have a poo, but one of them is watching you and another one is asking 'can I have a drink now please' while you're still wiping your own bum

And that silly stage where they don't want to go in a pushchair but you know they can't walk very far without getting tired and irritable

Nope, give me older ones any day!

DDs are 16 and nearly 18. Can you imagine starting again??????!!!!???????
