friend of a friend gets all the easter eggs, smashes them into little pieces and puts them in a bag. She doles the chocolate out as and when.

I dont know why she would bother with Easter eggs at all if she is going to ration it, but we are continuously being told by the media that sugar and fat are evil, so she probably thinks she is doing the right thing.
I hope she at least lets them smash up the eggs themselves?

DH insists that we open ours by hitting them against the forehead. It stayed off as an off joke but now, I don the cycle helmet and break away :D

Janner that reminds me of how we used to do tequila slammers in a bar in Brussels when I spent a year abroad with uni; don helmet, allow barman to slam it against your head and the bar before spinning you into the crowd. Good times.

Lets face it, unless you pay a fortune, Easter egg chocolate tends to be a bit rubbish so she would be better off chopping up a few mars bars.
I am not a fan of rationing anything. I think you should either have it and enjoy it or not bother at all.
