To be worried DS hasn't woken up yet?

DS is 20 months and has never slept longer than 2-4 (rare 4!) hours in his cot before coming into the bed or waking hourly+ in cot.

Tonight I put DS down at 7, and he's still not woken up. I checked and he's ok, temperature feels fine but I'm irrationally worrying somethings wrong. Should I wake him and bring him into the bed or is that ridiculous?

Quickly get in bed and try and sleep! Don't wake him up or put him in your bed.

I remember the first night my DS slept through I woke up feeling terrible at thought he'd been crying and I somehow slept through it, it's weird but it's fine if he's not got a high fever I'd catch up on that sleep business you've been missing!

if i were you i would be doing the same worrying but trying to be pleased that he was sleeping well. i would then not be able to get back to sleep, and spend the night trying to remember what we had done the previous day to make him sleep so well so i could replicate it! (can you tell i had a poor sleeper Too?)
speaking with the benefit of hindsight, especially as you have checked he is ok, i would try to get some sleep.
