The stupid program makes me so angry. Is my licence fee really paying for him to have a jolly to bloody South America and Australia when he could be doing the same thing in a warehouse in Manchester! Sorry but I feel better for sharing.

Grin are you my DH?

He had a similar thought/rant this morning.

WooWooOwl · 05/04/2014 15:14

It's probably cheaper to send him to these places than to try and recreate them in a warehouse in Manchester.

I could be wrong though, I've never seen the programme!

supermothra · 05/04/2014 15:19

The thing is you barely even see any of the places. He just sets up on a random park/market with loads or kids around him. Could be anywhere! Glad it isn't just me Santas ??

He Makes compleate shit!

And the poor people who have to dance with the shapes look so embarrassed

TheEmpress · 05/04/2014 15:22

Is he not using a green screen?

Or or you being funny? Grin

supermothra · 05/04/2014 15:26

See I wasn't sure if it was a green screen or not but my DH convinced me it wasn't. Was a bit worried I'd look like an imbecile if it was ??

No, he's really there.

The programme gets sold all round the world, so it makes sense from a marketing perspective, and probably still nets income for the BBC.

A better rant would be about the FUCKING Minute Make which takes 30 mins of setting up and £5 of specialist materials from a craft shop ... to entertain your preschooler for, you guessed it, sixty FUCKING seconds. Fuck that.

Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

DontCareAboutYourShoes · 05/04/2014 15:28

It's not a green screen. He answered a question related to filming in Hong Kong on the webchat Envy

supermothra · 05/04/2014 15:28

He does make such crap and my DS bloody loves it.

Shock

I had convinced myself that it had to be a green screen-that he couldn't possibly travelling around the world!!

CountessOfRule · 05/04/2014 15:52

What gives me the absolute hopping rage is that he often needs a tiny shape from a big bit of expensive card or foam or fur or something, and cuts his shape right out of the middle of the stuff so it's all wasted Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

DS1 now knows to cut properly and will sagely comment "Mr Maker wastes things, doesn't he, mummy."

YES HE FUCKING DOES.

BiobeX87 · 02/12/2015 10:58

Haha I thought the same. Your comment proper made me chuckle. Lol. So wasteful. X
