To dread going to DD parents evening.

It's the 1st one.

DS parents evenings have been so negative in the past, with more problems than the previous parents evening. All his progress has been slow and filled with getting a statement ( which finally he has got) SEN and SN.

I am terrified that I am going to have the same issues again and I really don't think I have the strength to do it all again.

Yes you do have the strength, it's in there honestly.
Why do think you will have the same issues?

Had exactly the same with my DS1 until he was 9 or 10. And now he's topping his class in English and Drama, fab at History and doing well in Maths. I used to sob after parents evenings. And now I wish I'd just realised that it was OK for him to get extra help. The help worked, but it's also that kids develop at different times and paces. Try not to lose heart. And DS2 didn't have such difficult parents' evenings, but he had to see psychologist too, and he too is doing fine.

I don't think I have the same issues, dd Ito my knowledge isn't showing the same struggles. I admire her as a younger sibling she has had to deal with autism and the care and love she shows her brother is turkey inspiring.

I just feel I will go and the teacher will say the total opposite and where all my energy has been fighting the lea and DS school over extra help, I may not have noticed

You do sound like a lovely Mum, and your children sound lovely too. Your DD is remarkable to be so kind to her brother, and I bet her caring nature shines out at school too.

I am in the same boat op. dd has sen and is statemented plus we have a tribunal soon with the lea
I have ds first parents evening coming up and I am scared that I will have to go through this all again
the special needs children boards on here are great if you ever need to chat x

Armani, what I have done was get a folder that has desperate compartments.

Every single letter is sorted into groups, as well as every school report and other reports. I have written every one who I have every talked to including telephone numbers as well.

The lea didn't know what hit them with the letter I sent.

He went from a statement in leiu to a 5a statement
