Makes sense, particularly with Liebniz.

Pipbin · 27/03/2014 23:18

I knew that.

But then I did have something to do with www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com

Well it would be weird to put the logo on the bottom really. And the chocolate flavour is stronger if the chocolate hits your tongue first because of its melting temperature.

HarrietSchulenberg · 27/03/2014 23:23

You're supposed to eat chocolate biscuits (and eclairs) with the choc on the bottom as the choc hits your tongue, and therefore tastebuds first. Apparently this gives a better taste sensation.
Personally I don't care - I just shove them in any which way, as long as they go in.

littleblackno · 27/03/2014 23:25

I want a chocolate hobnob now. You could have put a warning in the title.

BreconBeBuggered · 27/03/2014 23:29

I only ever eat biscuits that are entirely covered in chocolate, which avoids any ethical dilemmas about biscuity orientation. Harriet's eclair advice is spot-on, though.

sisterelephant · 27/03/2014 23:34

What??!!!! All these years, they were lying to us!!

Pipbin · 27/03/2014 23:36

And the side of the coin with HM the Q on is the front.

softlysoftly · 27/03/2014 23:37

Clever clever mcvities PR team.

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 27/03/2014 23:58

I never eat one slowly enough to give a flying fuck care what is printed on the back or front Blush I just "Dunk And Munch" Grin

ICanSeeTheSun · 28/03/2014 00:03

Biscuit I want some now.

I always thought it was chocolate on the top

QueenStromba · 28/03/2014 00:03

I've just told DP this and he's very upset because it's obviously wrong. He insists that when he eats a biscuit chocolate side down it's upside down.

ColdTeaAgain · 28/03/2014 00:09

I think they should do the honourable thing and just dip the whole biscuit in chocolate and prevent any more innocent people from inadvertently consuming their biscuits upside-down. In fact perhaps this needs a petition to be sent to Dave.

juneybean · 28/03/2014 00:13

I'm not allowed to buy chocolate mcvities as I generally inhale them.

deakymom · 28/03/2014 00:47

they used to show an advert that showed the chocolate being poured on the top!

Duh! Isn't it obvious that the chocolate part goes tongue side down thus letting the fatty chocolate dissolve leaving a deliciously unctuous coating?

How do you people manage to ties your own shoelaces??

waceystills · 28/03/2014 07:45

My colleagues and I had this debate a few years ago and we wrote to McVities asking if the chocolate was on the bottom or the top.

Sure enough they confirmed the chocolate was on the bottom.

I lost my bet Blush

itsmeitscathy · 28/03/2014 08:15

OMG

iloveny001 · 28/03/2014 13:32

I agree that fully covered choccie biscuits is the only way forward.
