OP posts:
IslaValargeone · 24/03/2014 14:53

I knew this would be about his teeth :o
Really outclassed by Englebert.

Scholes34 · 24/03/2014 14:53

Actually, Cliff sounds much better than Elton or Sir Paul.

IslaValargeone · 24/03/2014 14:54

Yes but they are both monumentally shite.

DadOnIce · 24/03/2014 15:44

Mind you, sho doesh Paolo Nutini and he ish only twenty-sheven.

frizzcat · 24/03/2014 16:02

I'm no fan of Cliff or Englebert but by holy knickers I'd buy every one of their albums and pay to join their fan clubs if I never had to listen to another Paolo Nutini song again

frizzcat · 24/03/2014 16:03

Pure anger, prevented grammar up there ^^

KurriKurri · 24/03/2014 16:30

Cliff sounds dire as always, his singing on this is just more evidence that his head mummified itself several years ago.

Shoopshoop2 · 24/03/2014 16:41

My dentist had pictures of Cliff's teeth on the wall, before and after,so you have a point Electric Smile

ShatnersBassoon · 24/03/2014 16:45

Him and Elton ought to go halves on a tube of Polygrip.

LetZygonsbeZygons · 24/03/2014 16:46

where was that on? tv? Cliff, I mean.

and agree totally about Paolo Nutini.

I thought it was Bob Dylan singing in tune when I first heard him!
and old man of 150!!!!

LetZygonsbeZygons · 24/03/2014 17:10

anyone? I want to hear or see this.

Shoopshoop2 · 24/03/2014 17:31

Try Youtube maybe.

MrsToddsShortcut · 24/03/2014 18:28

It's called 'Since I Lost My Baby' and it's actually (whispers) quite catchy.

I can't believe I just wrote that. I used to be a Goth, I used to sing in a rock band, I used to be cool dammit!

And now I drive to work listening to Radio 2 (ex home of Jimmy Young!) listening to this duet and thinking it's 'quite pleasant' and wondering who it is.

I didn't recognise Engelbert at all, who sounds great btw, but the I heard the dulcet tones of Captain Sibilant and it was like stepping into an old pair of comfy slippers...

Oh what the heck - I like it! Blush

WitchWay · 24/03/2014 19:01

Once you know it's him it's easy to tell it's him IYSWIM. Agree quite catchy Blush

MrsToddsShortcut · 24/03/2014 19:14

Oh Witch! What's to become of us?

blanchedeveraux · 24/03/2014 19:18

I met Cliff in a restaurant about 30 years ago. He looked like a walking corpse then. His neck was like a turkey gizzard. I could never understand all the "Peter Pan of Pop" shite, he was ancient then and looked it. God knows what he looks like close up now.

IslaValargeone · 24/03/2014 20:53

You can forgive Paulo Nutini's voice simply because he looks so damned good. He is ridiculously handsome.

MoominMammasHandbag · 24/03/2014 20:58

I quite like Paolo Nutini.
But then I love Bob Dylan.

Bunbaker · 24/03/2014 21:02

"It's called 'Since I Lost My Baby' and it's actually (whispers) quite catchy."

Actually, I agree. I thought it was Kris Kristofferson at first. When Cliff started to sing I thought "isn't that Cliff?", but I still wouldn't have guessed at EH, who I don't like at all. But I quite like the song.

LetZygonsbeZygons · 25/03/2014 19:13

saw Cliff ona old episode of Top gear today.

yy about the neck! came across a bit pratty.

but I luffs him anyway!

ChickenFromHell · 25/03/2014 19:18

I'd turn Paolo Nutini inside out < drools >

WhatamessIgotinto · 25/03/2014 19:19

I love Paulo he's shexy! :)

LetZygonsbeZygons · 25/03/2014 19:21

buy him some new teeth too! DC cracks up laughing when I play PN to her, she says its an old man!

but yes, Cliffs sounding very old now. his rock and roll stuff a few months ago he was sounding great.
