...is too toothy? It looks like someone showing off their new braces rather than an expression of glee! :-D

I'd use it so much more if it was toothless, it just freaks me out a bit.

Grin arrrgggh!

So use the smile one... a toothless grin would be creepy.

Beeyump · 14/03/2014 08:10

Yanbu! I totally agree, I never use the grin because it doesn't look right - and the smile looks passive aggressive to me.

Mintyy · 14/03/2014 08:11

Love the grin - it is my most over-used smilie.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 14/03/2014 08:12

At least there isn't that abominable sticky out tongue one. The one that knobbers use when they've said something stupid/offensive/fuckwitty and want to make out they are being funny.

Mind you, that one, I find, is very useful for culling people on FB. One tongue out, off you go, ta-ra.

Beeyump · 14/03/2014 08:16

Hmm is the best, I want it for non-Mumsnet things.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 14/03/2014 08:21

Yes, I'm fond of that one. And the wibbly confused one. Confused

The biscuit can fuck right off though.

pointythings · 14/03/2014 08:38

I like the grin, its toothiness expresses my feelings perfectly. Hmm and Confused are good too, but my favourite is still the strikethrough as it is perfect for being passive aggressive.

ohfourfoxache · 14/03/2014 08:39

Biscuit yum!

elQuintoConyo · 14/03/2014 08:48

The biscuit is especially useful when you want to call someone a fanny but not have your post deleted:

ohfourfoxache · 14/03/2014 08:55

Or when you're peckish! Grin

scarletforya · 14/03/2014 09:01

I love the grin! It's nice and gormless! Grin

Becles · 14/03/2014 10:00

I heart the Grin and Hmm - they need to be more liberally sprinkled in posts.

MissHobart · 14/03/2014 10:35

I agree, I wish I could use Hmm and Confused outside of MN!

ISeeYouShiverWithAntici · 14/03/2014 10:40

It looks like a zip to me. I even sometimes see the little dangly thing at the side.

I would LOVE it to be a zip. Grin

They won't give me [boggle] though, even though they gave us that stupid bear, the ridiculous biscuit and a variety of food and drink and I had asked first, so I reckon they HAVE to give me a zippy grin.

Or I'll just have some sort of public tantrum somewhere there's no naughty step they can put me on for a time out.

Refoca · 15/03/2014 01:48

I do use Hmm in real life...took a bit of practice when I was about 10 years old, but I can give those kids in the Cadbury's advert a run for their money www.google.co.uk/search?q=cadbury+eyebrows&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari

I like the grin. It doesn't have to be deployed in purely hilarious circumstances, because the smile is so often passive-aggressive.

Anatana · 15/03/2014 07:19

I wish we had the Adium grins. So very happy!

PunkrockerGirl · 15/03/2014 10:22

I love the grin emoticon but can't always get it to work.Sad

dementedma · 15/03/2014 10:28

The grin is the best one! Grin

Refoca · 15/03/2014 17:27

CorusKate, a woman after my own heart! I can do independent big toe, the one next to big toe and little toe waggling on my right too, get me ;-)
