To ask workmen next door to turn down their music?

My next door neighbours are getting a lot of work done in their garden. I'm going to have a bit of time in my garden, do some mums netting and gardening. Would I be U to ask them to turn down their music as I don't want to listen to it?

Yabu a bit though of course I understand how irritating it is.

It's outside so you can't really - maybe ask very politely or wear headphones yourself?

No one entitled to quiet outside Grin

Ok thanks, I wasn't sure. I wouldn't ask my neighbours if it was their music but I thought it may be ok as it's the people working there. Hope that makes sense.

Hmmm you could try. I don't think you are being unreasonable but I'm skeptical as to your chances.

No harm in asking.

Creamycoolerwithcream · 13/03/2014 11:43

No need to ask now, a huge digger thing has arrived which has drowned out the music!

I sympathise. Having (major, structural) work done at home at the moment and the radio is the least of the racket. :)
